RÁN - Label Art for Galway Bay Brewery / Mikkeller
I was asked to create art to show the connection between Ireland and Denmark for a special collab between Galway Bay Brewery and Mikkeller. The first thing to spring to mind was the Vikings.
So I looked up shared Viking/Norse/Irish God's and the female God of the Sea, Rán sprung up . Very epic, so I learnt more about Rán and how she ruled the seas with her husband AEgir and she captures wayward sailors in her magical net , pulling their souls into the depths. Very, very epic.
I am a big fan of Art Deco & Art Nouveau so I used a mixture of both to frame the artwork. Really love this one.
